DESCRIPTION:England wird vom 23. bis 25. August 2024 Gastgeber der nächsten Weltmeisterschaft im Doppelaxtwerfen sein. Der gastgebende Axemore Axe Throwing Club unter der Leitung von Ian Radmore wird die Hauptverantwortung für die Planung und Durchführung der Weltmeisterschaften in der Gemeinde Thirsk in der Grafschaft North Yorkshire übernehmen. Es ist das erste Mal\, dass die Veranstaltung im Vereinigten Königreich stattfindet. \nDazu\, was es bedeutet\, die offiziellen Gastgeberrechte zu erhalten\, sagt Radmore: „Es bedeutet die Welt. Ich habe viele Doppelaxtwerfer im Land unterrichtet und Veranstaltungen durchgeführt\, aber ich glaube wirklich\, dass die Ausrichtung der Weltmeisterschaften hier (in England) das Interesse mehr steigern wird\, als ich es auf irgendeine andere Weise könnte. Die Weltmeisterschaften 2022 in Kanada waren für alle\, die dort waren\, eine absolute Offenbarung. Ich werde sie nie vergessen solange ich lebe und ich werde mein Bestes tun\, um die Weltmeisterschaften 2024 zu etwas ebenso Besonderem zu machen.“ \n  \nEngland will host the next World Championships in Double-bit Axe Throwing to be held in the summer of 2024. Host organization Axemore Axe Throwing Club\, led by Ian Radmore\, will be taking on the lead responsibility for planning and delivering the world championships in the community of Thirsk located in North Yorkshire county. This will be the first time the event will be held in the United Kingdom. \nOn what it means to be awarded official hosting rights\, Radmore says „It means the world. I’ve taught many double-bit throwers in the country and ran events but truly believe that hosting the world championships here (in England) will expand the interest in the UK more than I could in any other way. The 2022 World Championships in Canada were an absolute revelation for everyone that was there.
